WOODEN SHJIPS - Back to Land (2013)

jumping from blog to blog I was attracted by this band. They comes from San Francisco area and despite you can think listening to their music (a good mix of psychedelic-garage-doors) they start the activity in 2006.
I see some similarity with "Plan 9" sonorities in part of their pieces.
"Back to Land" is dated 2013.

PLAN 9 - Plan 9 (1984 )

I always loved this band. They were from Rhode Island and I never heard a sound similar to this. The garage-psychedelic sound they produced is really unique.
This morning I bought a vinyl copy of this in a local vinyl fair and now I am just listening to this.
So why not to share with you.

Here there is a vinyl rip (not mine) you can have from the web.

PLAN 9 = plan 9

LAY LLAMAS - Ostro (2014)

Lay Llamas  is an Italian group part of the new psychedelic or "occult psychedelic" wave. With Julie's Haircut  (some of the components collaborates) are in my opinion the top of this group of bands.
There are on spotify some interesting playlist proposed by Julie's Haircut as summary of the Italian background of the moment "postcard from the land of sunshine" is one of this and can be used as example or guide of this music area.

PSYCHIC TV - Milano, club Magnolia December 4, 2015

Unespected year end concert at the Magnolia Club.  To be honest I was not so informed about Psychic TV and Genesis P. Orridge  history so I made an accelerated training on web and youtube to be ready for the show. I have to say I was really  impressed from some psychedelic ballads performed by the group. Despite the  slovenly look  of G.P. Orridge his/her voice is still there.
Coming back to the show, there were really few people and this makes the perfect atmosphere.  A little club, not too much people and the possibility to be near the stage. Just from the first song the direction of the night was really clear......100% PSYCHEDELIC. That's  all. Music, Images, Look .... It could be 2015 or 1960..1970... who knows!!! and shadows of Pink Floyd were also somewhere there!!!
