TANYA GEORGE - Contrast (2026)

One of the most interesting releases of 2026 is Contrast by Tanya George. Featuring a stunning voice and catchy tracks, this neo-soul album makes for an enjoyable listen.

The Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist makes her full-length debut after a couple of Eps. I think we’ll be hearing a lot more from her.

A CERTAIN RATIO - Sextet (1982)

“Sextet” remains one of my absolute favorites from A Certain Ratio's discography.

Its sound and rhythms were remarkably for the time ( 1982 ) . This sound  became a sonic blueprint that would go on to become the band's unmistakable trademark for years to come.

Decades later, it's still a  pleasure to listen to.

NU GENEA - People of the Moon (2026)

Following the success of “Bar Mediterraneo”, NU GENEA are back with their brand-new album for 2026.

“People of the Moon” feels like yet another expansion of NU GENEA’s musical universe. While their debut LP “Nuova Napoli” (released under their previous name NU GUINEA) was tightly focused on the Neapolitan Funk, their second  record “Bar Mediterraneo” enriched that sound with vibrant Mediterranean influences. Now, with “People of the Moon”, their horizon broadens even further onto a global scale, blending Latin and Caribbean grooves with stellar international features (including Tom Misch).

It’s an incredibly catchy record, and "Onenon"—featuring Tom Misch—is an absolute hit.
