Following the success of “Bar Mediterraneo”, NU GENEA are back with their brand-new album for
2026.
“People of
the Moon” feels like yet another expansion of NU GENEA’s musical universe.
While their debut LP “Nuova Napoli” (released under their previous name
NU GUINEA) was tightly focused on the Neapolitan Funk, their second record “Bar Mediterraneo” enriched that
sound with vibrant Mediterranean influences. Now, with “People of the Moon”,
their horizon broadens even further onto a global scale, blending Latin and
Caribbean grooves with stellar international features (including Tom Misch).
It’s an incredibly catchy record, and
"Onenon"—featuring Tom Misch—is an absolute hit.
