TUXEDOMOON - Half Mute /Scream with a view (1986)

 

Recently, at a local fier, I had a copy of Half Mute by Tuxedomoon vinyl (1980).

Tuxedomoon was one of my favourite band in the '80 and luckily I have had the opportunity to see them live a couple of time before the dead of Peter Principle  (bass guitar  pillar of the band) some years ago.

TUXEDOMOON - Suite en sous-sol (1982)

We will have no more the opportunity to see Tuxedomoon live after  2017 Peter Principle death. I saw them twice in the last years with very good memories.
Here is a vinyl rip (Flac24_96) of my 1982 copy of Suite en sous-sol a double 12" with a mix of multicultural sounds.

TUXEDOMOON - June 10, 2016 Milan (Black Hole)

I was really impressed by TUXEDOMOON during last concert in Milan (December 2014) so I had very high expectation versus the new 2016 tour. At the end the quality of the music and the band is not under discussion; what was wrong this time was the location for the show. Black Hole is really a "hole", a discotheque with a little (but really little) stage for live show. The acoustics was inadequate; in some moments the noise of people at the bar was higher than the band sound!!!
I think that for Tuxedomoon music a theater and a silent listening would be more appropriate.

TUXEDOMOON - Milano, Leoncavallo December 11, 2014

                                                     

Tuxedomoon  last night looks to me in a very good shape. It was the first time for me; I never see them live before and it was a good surprise.

Location and time were unusual but at the end a good atmosphere to enjoy Blaine & C. performance. Music (with video clip and an actor live performance as a background) was fantastic driven by Peter Principle's bass devastating rhythm.

Really well done Blaine, Steven, Peter and Luc ...see you again !!!
