CABARET VOLTAIRE - Micro-Phonies (1984)

Riding the wave of the recent Cabaret Voltaire resurgence (see my June 2026 post), the latest vinyl-to-digital archival project on the turntable is "Microphonies", their sixth studio album from 1984.

On this record, the bnd shifted their sonic signature away from abrasive industrial noise toward a driving, hypnotic electronic groove that makes the tracklist much more accessible than theri earlier output (somebody prefer the early version of CV).

As with the previous drops, this vinyl has been ripped in FLAC 24-bit/96kHz.

CABARET VOLTAIRE - The Crackdown (1983)

This weekend I spent some time listening to old vinyls. I haven' t had this record on my turntable for many years. It was a pleasure to hear  to this again. The Crackdown is  one of the easy LP from  Cabaret Voltaire with rhythm and a mix of electronic and techno sonorities completely new at that time ( 1983 !!!).

This is not my vinyl rip but a copy from the CD version from somewhere on the web.
