This is not completely new but I listen to this again one of these days and I realized how good it is.
Martina is well known for her collaboration with Massive Attack and Tricky and the Trip Hop sound is easy to recognize.
Enjoy: Forever I wait
Vanishing Twin are considered an Indie-esotheric-psychedelic band. This "The Age of Immunology" was their first album (The third one "Afternoon X" just released in 2023).
Different influences from different geographical areas in their sound (components of the band are from different countries).
The result is a very interesting mix.

I never care about this band in the past but recently I listen to some of them works after the release of the new 2023 LP. I was specially inpressed by this "The Magic Whip" released in 2015 but I am still discovery the early production.
Sometimes you have to take a look back to make sure you haven't missed anything important.
HERE: The Magic Whip
One of my favourite band of the '80. Both components Billy Mackenzie and Alan Rankine died at different times but their music lives on.
Here a collection of mp3 with main of the 12" and mix released in the years .
I collected from different blogs and converted to mp3 just for easy listening. Some of these pieces are real milestones like "white car in germany" or the cover of Blondie "Heart of Glass".

Between '80 and '90 there was what I call the "Australian wave". A lot of bands with a common sound of "fresh" Rock'n Roll-Garage-Punk.
The main characteristics were simple and catchy tracks and above all with a lot of energy. Drums and guitars in absolute evidence. Some of these bands were already on this blog (Hoodoo Gurus, Visitors..).
Recently I bought a copy of this double LP in a local vinyl street market. Here a digital copy taken from the web.
HERE: Platters Du Jour
In the last years we saw a revival of vinyls and a decline of CDs.
It is quite common to have flea markets or fairs every month or more often. Sometime I like to go there mainly to observe and to enjoy leafing through the old covers (this is the real pleasure).
Sometimes I carried away and buy some vinyls (even costs are now quite high).
It is the case of this "Friends " from OREGON dated 1977. (other posts on this blog). Here you can listen to a CD captured version from the web.
Oregon= friends
The first time I listen to this my mind came back to '80 and minimal sound of "Young Marble Giants" ( I need to repost it).
Of course there are differences (in 40 years is quite normal) but emotions are nearly the same.
Good start for this interesting band from London. I realize they also open the "Bodega" tour recently and this is a good business card, too.

Wish was released in 1992 and it is considered one of the best Cure release. I have the original double LP version (a strange format for the time). In 2022 for the 30th anniversary Robert Smith prepare a remastering of the 1992 LP. 3 CDs are part of the deluxe edition. Here I share a copy of the CD number two with several unrealeased instrumental versions that I consider the real attractivity of this new edition:
ENJOY : Wish CD 2
I will start the new year 2023 with this group. I don't know how to identify them. It is a new or an old one. Difficult to say.
This work is dated 2012 but it could be 1982. First time I listen to them I confused with Jesus and Mary Chain and there is more than one similarities in the sound (or noise) they produced).
They comes from NYC and a lot of works through years. I prefer the first works like this one.
